  • AnySolution Partners with Son Pou de San Majorala to Boost Data Sharing in Balearic Agriculture

On August 28th, a significant milestone for the Data4Food2030 project was reached when AnySolution signed a collaboration agreement with Son Pou de San Majorala, a historic almond producer in central Mallorca. This is the first such agreement to facilitate farm-level data sharing, with more agreements expected to follow. Building on previous efforts, AnySolution had already established data-sharing agreements with designations of origin (D.O.s) and farmer cooperatives in the Balearic wine and almond sectors—both known for their internationally renowned local products, emblematic of the islands’ agriculture.

By integrating farm-level data with that from D.O.s, agricultural cooperatives, and local government sources, the Data4Food2030 project pilot aims to create a comprehensive agricultural data space for the Balearic Islands. This initiative is designed to improve efficiency, sustainability, and reduce costs in the agricultural sector. The pilot will offer farmers precise, data-driven decision-making tools, enhancing efficiency, productivity, and sustainability at the farm level.

Additionally, the pilot aims to foster synergies between agriculture and other sectors, particularly tourism, which accounts for over 40% of the region’s GDP [1]. By merging agricultural data with tourism insights, the project seeks to create a more cohesive, circular, and resilient economic ecosystem across the islands. This integration is expected to optimize resource management, promote sustainable practices, and encourage new business collaborations throughout the Balearic Islands.

Thank you Anysolution for bringing this promising collaboration on board!
